Katie was born on the East Coast, raised in the South, and spent several years in Singapore.

 

After earning a degree in Graphic Design from St. Edward's University, she served as Creative Director at El Paso Import Company, a furniture wholesaler with 18 locations across the United States.

 

She was asked to lead the company’s Austin showroom, which specialized in antique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind furnishings from around the world. It’s here that she developed a passion for interior design while working closely with the professionals who frequented her store. She decided to return to school, where she studied interior design at Texas State University’s CIDA-accredited program.

 

Katie quickly secured an internship with the luxury residential design-build firm Jauregui Architecture & Interiors based in Austin, TX. Over her six years there, she was rapidly promoted from unpaid intern to Design Assistant to Senior Interior Designer.

 

Katie Postel Interiors is a multifaceted design firm, exploring all aspects of design including multifamily, residential, and specialty commercial interiors. She has successfully completed several multi-million dollar projects and has the vision, expertise, and knowledge to get your project done on time, on budget, and on concept. With over 12 years of design and project management experience she'll expertly oversee all aspects of the project from concept to completion
